Rise to Match the Circumstances

Do you ever feel like life has thrown you for a loop?

Like you’re emotionally, physically, mentally or spiritually spent?

When you’re overwhelmed by life, even the tiny, daily details can loom like mountains.

Sweet friend, please consider this:

A wise woman makes herself the match of every circumstance.

Are there difficult circumstances in your life today?

(Yes.  Mine too!)

Hectic schedules?

Pressing needs from friends, family, ministry?

Financial challenges?

Health issues that need resolved?

Relationships that need restored?

Burdens you must carry day after day?

Offenses you don’t feel you have the grace to forgive?

Unmet expectations?

Bitterness that needs released?

Sin that needs repented of?

Discouragement?

Resentment?

Frustration?

There was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

II Corinthians 12:7-10

Can I encourage you to climb off that couch of depression and refuse to give Satan a foot hold in your heart, mind or home?

Instead of dwelling on how difficult the challenges, ask God for wisdom to  make you the match of these circumstances.

And, most importantly, let GOD be the match for every circumstance in your life.

When we are weak, His strength makes up the difference.
