I am in love with my daughters’ headboard.
It only cost $35 at a junk store.
When we were redecorating our little girls’ bedroom a few years ago, I went on a hunt for a pretty but inexpensive head board. I found a beauty at Target.com and really liked, it but held off purchasing in hopes of finding something a bit cheaper.
Then I found this diamond-in-the-rough:
Admittedly, the color did not call my name. But that’s what PAINT is for!
Here is my Big Girl applying the first strokes of “antique lace” paint.
Three coats of paint and nearly one week later, here is the finished product.
I definitely like it better than the $189 headboard from Target…
it has a LOT more detail and more Shabby Chic appeal.
I’m proud of our little find… it usually pays to wait!
