As a mom with daughters, I realize I am training little homemakers.
Like most girls their age, my daughters are creative little dreamers and the scope of their perceived abilities is infinite!
I want to nurture feelings of confidence and possibilities in my children, and sometimes that means lowering my expectations and just letting them learn by doing… and making messes.
Last Saturday, Miss A and Miss E could hardly wait to get started on The Perfect Cupcake classes (a free online Craftsy course we chose from the DIY bundle bonus offers ). I tuned in to the classes while I swept and mopped the kitchen floor. I have to say, I was impressed!
My girls were so inspired after watching a few classes that they decided to start their own cupcake bakery when they grow up. ;)
Of course, they wanted to get started baking a batch of cupcakes right away. My first thought was, On a Saturday evening? I don’t even have any flour ground and I don’t feel like cleaning up a big mess!
By the time we finished with supper and evening chores, it was getting a bit late for a Saturday night project, but they were so excited that I decided a little flexibility was in order.
The girls drug out our appliances, I ground a fresh batch of gluten-free flour and the baking began!
The kids got to bed a tad later than usual on Saturday night…
and I woke up on Monday morning with a mixer and a grain mill still sitting out on my kitchen counter…
But it was totally worth it!
I’m sure I’m just a little biased, but those were the best tasting cupcakes I’ve ever eaten!
Today is your last chance to enjoy this sweet deal- over $1,200 in DIY resources, plus about $130 value in bonus offers- for just $34.95!
The free class from Craftsy.com is worth more than the bundle costs!
But hurry! The bundle is available for just…
