Happy Friday, beautiful friends!
Here I am, in the middle of a busy afternoon, typing away on my computer… my little boys are snoozing in their bedroom, my three older kids are with Daddy… and I just folded enough clean laundry to justify carving out some time to hide away in my bedroom and get this post together. 🙂
It’s barely May, and already I’m way off kilter with my blogging goals for this month (yes, already!)…
So I’m going to get really honest here… my kids and I are heading out-of-town for a road trip to visit my parents next week, and I simply don’t have time to get my homeschooling posts ready before we leave. Not if I plan to get any sleep this weekend, anyway.
Since I do intend to sleep (and, hopefully, sanely pack our clothing for the road trip… I’m an infamous packer…), I’m going to hand the reins over to my friend, Monica, again. 🙂
On Monday, I’m kicking off our homeschooling theme with our 2015/16 My Father’s World Blogroll.
Watch for more details on Monday.
On Tuesday, Monica is taking over the rest of the week with a new homeschooling mini series… Joyful Homeschooling.
Yes, you are in for a treat!
I really hope you’ll stick around for Monica’s posts next week… you’ll be encouraged and inspired in your journey as a homeschooling mom.
After next week, I’ll commence with the curriculum reviews I have planned for the month of May.
I can’t wait to share about our family’s homeschool year! I’m have a lot of exciting posts to share, and I don’t want to rush through it, so I’ll wait and put my blogger hat back on once our family gets back from our road trip.
For now… here are a few of my favorite reads from this week.
I stopped in the middle of my busy Friday morning to read this guest post by Terrie at A Mama’s Story, and I’m so glad I did! I think all women struggle with contentment from time to time. I was so blessed and encouraged by Terrie’s heartfelt article, and I think you will be too.
I totally related to this post by Sara at Embracing Destiny, right down to the lost math manipulatives! I highly recommend this quick read.
I’ve been using Rosemary essential oil as a liver support lately, and this article shed a lot of light on why this little herb is so good for a mama’s health.
I just had to read this one to see if I am guilty of any of the “unhealthy habits”! Great post by Michelle of Making Sense of Cents
I was very encouraged by this guest post at SallyClarkson.com (by Tony Wood). Mr. Woods’ new book, A Parents’ Book of Prayers, sounds like a great read. You can win a copy of it (and a bunch of other stuff) at Sally Clarkson’s blog today.

I hope you mamas have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
You are so important to the health and preservation of our culture… may God strengthen you as you faithfully nurture and shape the next generation.
For now, I’m off to finish up my landry and packing!
