Hello there!
I’ve got a fun surprise for you today…
My daughter, Emily, recorded a quick video for you, telling about three of her favorite books for little girls to read with their Dads.
With Father’s Day coming up this weekend, she and I thought this would be a really fun blog post to share!
You can scroll down a bit to watch the video, or you can keep reading below to get my take on the books, plus links where you can find them.
Just a few fun facts about Emily:
- she’s the second-born in our family of five kids
- she’s going to celebrate her twelfth birthday next Tuesday!
- she loves singing and acting, and enjoys her theater class during the school year
- she’s getting ready to start her very own blog and You Tube channel… if you have daughters Emily’s age, she’d love to connect with them!
Okay, now more about those books!
Emily hand-selected the following three titles to recommend to other girls who are as crazy about their daddies as she is.
Here are Emily’s favorite story books for little girls to read with their Dads:
- Daddy’s Little Girl
I bought this book for Emily’s birthday quite a few years ago, and it’s been a favorite of hers ever since.
Daddy’s Little Girl, by Ronne Randall and Estelle Corke, features a sweet story about a little girl named Emily.
As you can tell, our copy is quite well-loved!
You can find a copy of Daddy’s Little Girl on Amazon right here.
(For my fellow boy moms: I noticed there’s also a Daddy’s Little Boy version of this story.)
2. The True Princess
Every little girl loves a princess story, right?
Emily certainly always has, and this beautifully illustrated book is one of her top picks.
The True Princess, by Angela Elwell Hunt, is available at many Christian book stores. You can also purchase it on Amazon.
3. My Little Girl
I found this copy of My Little Girl, by Tim McGraw, at a local thrift store.
The theme of this sweet story book is simply that ordinary days are magical when spent with those you love.
If you’re looking for a copy of My Little Girl, check it out on Amazon right here.
A big thanks to my girl, Emily, for doing this video!
Be sure to check out Emily’s recommended books this Father’s Day weekend, and share this post with your mom friends too. 🙂

Well done Emily! We have the last book and it is a good book!
Thank you, Ms Lene! xoxo
