If you’ve followed this blog for very long, then you probably know that I’m a natural mama and I love learning everything I can about healthy ways to raise our five kids.
About two years ago, we started experiencing some issues with our older kids’ oral health… yeah, cavities.
I wasn’t a very happy mama!
Since we do brush our teeth religiously, I started seeking out resources that address oral health from the core out.
It was obvious that we needed something more than just the “brush and floss daily” routine.
I talked to two different natural practitioners- our chiropractor and our homeopath- and they both referred me to xylitol.
At the time, I was eating the Trim Healthy Mama way so I was already at least a little bit familiar with xylitol. I knew it was a natural alternative to sugar, but I had yet to discover the many oral health benefits of xylitol.
I talked with our homeopath rather extensively, and she told me about Dr. Ellie Phillips (whom she had personally heard lecture at a practitioner’s conference) and Dr. Ellie’s website, Zellies.com.
I ordered Dr. Ellie’s book, Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye, and read it… and even had my ten-year old daughter read it!
The more I learned, the more convinced I became that we were on the right track. And the more I decided that this resource was something I wanted to share with other mamas.
After a few months, I did something that I very rarely do as a blogger… I contacted Zellies and asked if they would like to come on board with me as a sponsor. I felt like I was going way out on a limb. I mean, I’m just a little, old nobody who happens to have a blog!
Much to my delight, Zellies said YES!
I’ve corresponded with this company for about a year now. After using Zellies products, and implementing many of the methods in Dr. Ellie’s book, I am truly a believer in the message Zellies is passionately sharing. And I’m pretty excited to share Zellies with you!
Let’s get on with the details, shall we?
