This giveaway is now closed.  The winner was posted here.

I gave up on trying natural deodorants years ago.  Why, you ask?  Plain and simple, because none of them actually worked.

Until now.

This summer, I connected with Angela, the creative and amazing mama behind Truly’s Natural Products, and she gave me a sample of her product to try.  I used Truly’s Natural Deodorant all throughout the months of August and September and was shocked how well this stuff works!  The summer heat in the South is a true test for any deodorant product, and Truly’s Natural out-performed any other natural deodorant I’ve ever used.

A few weeks into using this deodorant, I was curious about the ingredients and read the label.  Somehow, this genius mama created a deodorant that really works using only coconut oil, baking soda, beeswax, and powdered sugar.  That’s it!

A few things I love about Truly’s Natural Deodorant:

I can actually recognize and pronounce all the ingredients on the label.

It does not contain an antiperspirant, which means it does not inhibit sweating (a natural and healthy bodily function).

It effectively prevents body odor.

I don’t have to reapply it throughout the day.

It doesn’t stain my clothing.

A 2-ounce container lasts and lasts and lasts.

  5. Wow, I had no idea that sugar would mix with your own body and create something that would kill bacteria. Amazing. A friend of mine just started making her own deoderant, but doesn’t add sugar. VERY interesting

  6. Hmmmmm — an ingredient of deoderant is linked to hay fever?!?! That was news to me! And, I like the fb page.

  10. I am still learning so much about living a natural lifestyle. I started researching the natural way of living back on March when we discovered one of my sons has SEVERAL allergies…I have switched my kids and myself over to a more natural deodorant, but my husband just stopped using the 2nd one I have talked him into trying…he couldn’t get past the rawness under his arms and ‘smelling himself’. He tried for over 3 wks. I need to find one that will work for him. I haven’t heard about sugar being so useful in deodorant. Thanks for educating me!!

  20. Haven’t heard about the sugar in a natural deodorant. Interesting. I make my own for myself, but it irritates my husband’s skin. Would like to give this a try for him. Thanks for the giveaway!

  21. Wow! It’s great to see that sugar is finally good for me 😉 That is new to me. I’ve heard about problems with the chemicals in so many skin products and it is a concern to me how Triclosan and Parabens effect the thyroid and endocrine system, especially since I have thyroid issues. Thank you for the straight forward information. I would LOVE to try Truly’s!
