Yesterday, I made my weekly grocery run.
Most weeks, I hit our local Aldi to stock up on our healthy favorites, such as almond milk, organic produce, and lately, grass fed, organic beef.
Here in North Texas, we have a generous selection of whole food super markets to choose from, but most weeks I shop at Aldi for two reasons:
1. Their selection of healthy (and even organic) foods is quite impressive… and it keeps growing!
2. Their prices trump just about every other grocery store I’ve shopped at.
Yesterday was a perfect example of the kind of deals I regularly find at Aldi!
We make our own granola a lot around here, but life has been so busy lately that I’ve been taking advantage of the organic granola and cereal I can buy locally.
We eat granola or cold cereal several times a week, and I’m especially fond of the new “Coconut Chia Granola” by Nature’s Path Organic. Both our local Walmart and Aldi carry this granola, and it’s generally about 20-cents cheaper per box at Aldi.
Yesterday, I found this granola at Aldi for just $1.39 per box. The regular price is right at $3, so this was a BIG savings!
You’d better believe I stocked up!
I don’t find half-price organic food every week at Aldi, but I do save our family a considerable amount of money every month by shopping Aldi for most of our groceries.
We enjoyed a quick, healthy, yummy and inexpensive breakfast this morning… with lots left over for other busy mornings. 🙂
