Summer is flying by!

It’s almost back-to-school time… even us year-round homeschoolers are gearing up for another season of hitting the books!  It’s the perfect time to stock up on pencils, cute notebooks… and denim skirts!

Today, I’m teaming up with Sarah of Joyfully Sewn Designs to offer you a wonderful back-to-school giveaway… a $30 gift certificate to apply toward any purchase at her online shop!

If your little girls are in need of new denim skirts, then I think you’ll love the pretty little thing I’m going to feature in this post…

Yes, the “pretty little thing” in this photo is my daughter, Miss E… but the skirt is the thing you’re supposed to be looking at, right? 😉

The little girl is priceless… and the cute denim skirt, well, you can get your own little miss one of these (or whatever else she wants from the shop) if you win this giveaway!

Miss E was in need of a new denim skirt this past spring, so when Sarah offered me an item from her shop in exchange for a review, I picked this

Well, actually Miss E picked it from the selection of skirts.

The fact that my 9-year old daughter is very petite makes shopping for skirts a real challenge… if I can even find a skirt in her size, it’s likely to be too big in the waist, or too long or too short.

Since Sarah will completely customize orders, that eliminated the size problem for us!  I took Miss E’s measurements, sent them over to Sarah, and she made a beautiful little skirt that fits my girl perfectly!

We chose to go a little shorter with Miss E’s skirt than the one pictured on Sarah’s site, mainly since it’s so hot in Texas during the summer.  The skirt is made of light denim, so it’s a practical staple for the warmer months.

And since it’s an A-line cut, Miss E has lots of room to run, climb, and, mostly importantly, twirl!

  3. I love that she also carries ladies skirts since my tween is taller than I am, she is already in junior size clothing. It is really hard to find items in that section that look appropriate for a preteen girl.

  4. I love the pink and black patchwork twirl skirt! I only have one girl, after two boys, so anything pink is a hit for us!

  5. My daughter and I had a good look at her site. I love the denim skirts! My 6 yr old daughter loved the frilly, ruffle, girly skirts. She just had a growth spurt and outgrew 90% of her clothes, so this post was very timely! I will have to keep a watch on the site. Thank you!
